  • The person responsible for a group has to ensure that all the participants are informed about the activity and services provided (date and time, meeting points, level of difficulty, physical requirements, cancellation fees, general terms and conditions, etc.) and that no reimbursement or compensation will be paid.
  • Time: With the conclusion of the contract (after payment of invoice) the customer knows and accepts that it is obligatory to meet the following fixed times: the time agreed upon to gather at the meeting point and the time the activity begins.
  • If a group or singular participants arrive late by more than 20 minutes, they automatically lose their right to take part in the activity. If only a few participants arrive later than 20 minutes, the activity is taking place without them and they lose their right to take part.

If customers inform our staff or tour guides by telephone about their delay and explicitly insist on taking part in the activity, additional costs might arise (staff or guides payments, change of plans, organisation etc.). In this case Málaga Guide reserves the right to demand these extra costs.

The times indicated on the website are only general. Only the time and date sent to the customers together with the booking confirmation are valid.

Rain or bad weather do not present impediments for the implementation of most of our activities(Exceptions: Bike Tours, Horseriding, Sailing). In case of rain, rain coats will be provided. If a customer decides to cancel an activity due to meteorological or any other reasons, we charge 100% of the total price.

We will offer an alternative to the original plan, e.g. change of date, change of activity, however, in this case Málaga Guide reserves the right to charge an extra 50% of the agreed price.

If the activity is cancelled by Málaga Guide or by the organiser without any involvement of the customer, the customer will be reimbursed with the total price by the end of the month. However, Málaga Guide is not paying for any additional costs, such as accommodation, transport, or any other costs which have occurred to the customer due to the cancellation.

Málaga Guide is authorised to modify the times, the form of the activity, the location, etc. should the natural conditions (storm, heavy rain, other bad meteorological conditions) or the infrastructure (transport, guides, etc.) make this necessary.

If one or more participants are under the influence of alcohol or any kind of drugs and are therefore a threat for themselves or for the whole group, this can lead to the cancellation of the activity and the loss of any rights to participate in the activity. In neither of the mentioned cases the customer has a right to a reimbursement, nor can Málaga Guide be held liable for the cancellation due to the above mentioned circumstances.

Málaga Guide reserves the right to change or extend the conditions laid out in the contract if activities and services are negotiated by other parties.

The contractual terms and conditions of the activity/service are binding and obligatory. With the payment the customer agrees and accepts the terms and conditions.

Specific conditions for the activity ‘Canyoning in Granada

All customers of Málaga Guide confirm that they have read the following programme:

  1. Meeting point: Restaurante ‘El Capricho’

We recommend that you do not arrive hungry or even have breakfast here in order to arrive at the gorge ready to go.

  • We would like to mention that we do know the owners of the restaurant ‘El Capricho’ but we do not have any arrangements with them regarding commission for doing advertisement etc.

  • In the restaurant the guide will give an introduction and explanation about the adventure we are going to embark on.

  1. Afterwards: We leave the restaurant towards the Finca ‘La Cazuela’.

  • We pay the fee for participants and cars (inclusive) and continue the drive in our own cars (transport not inclusive). The road is in a good state and suitable for 90% of the cars.

  • Due to the costs it is obligatory to continue the drive with fully occupied cars; hence at the entrance to the finca we allocate the participants to several cars.

  1. The equipment: With the impressive gorge in the background we start to distribute and put on the equipment: wetsuits, helmets, security ropes, etc.

  1. A second breakfast: An easy walk for about one hour brings us to the river shore and leaves us with a first impression of the gorge. Here we recommend having a second breakfast.

  2. The adventure: Abseiling, jumps, water pools, and slides transform the Rio Verde in a natural water park.

It doesn’t matter if you want to do scary jumps or just enjoy the natural slides, the activities in the Rio Verde can be adapted to everyone’s wishes.

The duration of the activity is more or less 5 hours, but this can vary according to the fitness of the participants of the group.

Sturdy footwear which supports the heel is essential as we will cross humid, rocky and slippery areas.

  1. The return: We take off the equipment and after a 15min. direct walk we will arrive back at the cars.

  1. Return to the starting point: Restaurante ‘El Capricho’
Ideal to refresh and relax after the adventure in the canyon. While we are exchanging our experiences, a big steak or any other of the restaurant’s specialities will mark a tasty end to our trip.

  1. A refreshing beer to say goodbye and hope to see you again soon.
