Horse riding in the ‘Montes de Málaga’
The national park ‘Montes de Málaga’ (Mountains of Malaga) covers an area of about 5000 hectare and borders on the Northern part of the city. The mountains are mainly forested with pine trees, cork oak trees, cypresses, and oak trees and reach heights of 3,324 feet.
The excursions on horseback start directly at the edge of the national park and partly lead through the park. There are more than 80 horses of different breeds and sizes on the horse farm. Our riding centre has about 15 horses which are used to contact with children and adults from the riding school and are therefore especially suitable for rides with people who do not have any riding experience.
Especially for less experienced riders a ride in the Montes de Málaga is a unique experience.
The ride itself lasts about 1 ½ hours. Before that we visit the stables, the horses and ponies, and familiarise the guests with the animals. Apart from the horses, there are also many cats, chickens and even an ostrich to see on the farm.
A soft drink in our restaurant is included in the price. If you make your reservation in advance we will prepare lunch with typical food from the Montes de Málaga for all group sizes. We also organise birthday parties or company outings, etc. on request.
We also organise day trips which include breakfast, a ride through the national park and lunch, or dinner for rides that start in the afternoon.
Children especially enjoy the time spent with the animals in their natural environment.
